SOIL: Moderately moist - dry, well drained

EXPOSURE: Full Sun   

GENERAL HABIT:
Bulbous corms produce grass like
foliage 8-10 inches tall in spring. Flowering stems appear
a
s foliage begins to die down.

FOLIAGE: Linear, medium green, strap-like foliage
appear in spring and disappear before flowering stems
appear.

FLOWER: Blue-violet blooms held on long pedicels atop
10-12 inch stems. June bloom

COMMENTS:
Complex and confusing family and genera! Outstanding in
rockeries, full sun perennial borders and in containers.
