SOIL: Ideally rich, moist, but well drained.
EXPOSURE: Grown in full sun.
GENERAL HABIT: Bulbous, herbaceous perennial herb.
Flowering stems can reach 6-7ft.
FOLIAGE: Alternating, deep green, lanceolate foliage.
Somewhat glossy in appearance.
FLOWER: Blooms midsummer (July-August). Outfacing,
funnel shaped flowers. Color is a creamy white with a pale
butter yellow throat. Flowers have a pale green tint when it
begins to open. Tepal reverse is a dull grey purple.
Filaments pubescent. Strongly scented.
COMMENTS:
Photos represent a first year flowering stem from wild
collected seed (Nanjiang County, Sichuan, China)
