ORIGIN: Western China (Sichuan & Yunnan Province)

USDA PLANT HARDINESS ZONE: 6-9?

SOIL: Ideally rich, moist, but well drained.

EXPOSURE: Grown in full sun - part shade

GENERAL HABIT: Bulbous, herbaceous perennial herb.
Stoloniform growth habit (stem travels underground before
emerging. Slim, wiry stems 2-5ft. in height.

FOLIAGE: Alternating, pale grey-green, linear-lanceolate
grass-like foliage.

FLOWER: June-July bloom time. Down-facing, strongly
recurved tepals and petals. Flower color is a bright shell,
glossy pink with marbled white edges gently speckled in
purple. Rich, but subtle fragrance..

COMMENTS:
The parent of several spectacular Asiatic hybrids that
possess its elegant flower form and subtle fragrance
including L.
'Rosepoint Lace', 'Ariadne', and the infamous
North Hybrids.
