The Genus Lilium
Considered the Queen of Summer Flowering Bulbs,
lilies have graced western gardens for centuries. With
well over 100 described species and thousands of
named cultivated hybrids, these bulbous plants have
captivated gardeners with their showy flowers and
dependability in the landscape.

Over the years, I've become infatuated with this genus
and have garnered a collection of both species and
hybrids that I've acquired and grown for well over a
decade.

This page showcases the diversity of
Lilium that exists
through a gallery of flowering plants I've photographed
from my own garden and gardens around the Pacific
Northwest.
