GENERAL HABIT:
Flowering corm. 4-6 inches in height.
FOLIAGE:
Grass like, deep green with white midvein.
FLOWER:
Solitary, cupped, flowers that are a purple-violet
with hints of blue. Late winter-early spring bloom.
(Early March in the Pacific Northwest.)
COMMENTS:
Newly planted in Fall 2008 for Spring 2009 bloom.
Reportedly suitable for naturalizing and containers.
Photos advertising this cultivar often depicts it as a
cool, deep blue, but it is more purple in color.
