A charming and fragrant false bleeding heart! Corydalis
authority Magnus Liden claims that this original
introduction by Elizabeth Strangman is actually a closely
related
Corydalis omeiana. This "tender" perennial is
quite hardy, but the plants themselves are delicate and
need to be sited in a moist area to protect the fern like
foliage and masses of a vivid blue spray of "tadpole-like"
flowers that appear in the summer. This species can also
tolerate more sun compared to other blue Corydalis.
