Very similar to B. taliense, but with shallower lobes of the
foliage. This species was imported from China and has
proven itself to be hardy in the Puget Sound region of
Washington, State (Zones 7-8) with a 2” thick mulch of
woodchips. It is very late to emerge (around June in the PNW)
and flowers in late summer until the first frost. Benefits from
cool shade and ample moisture once actively growing.
